Update

Ok it's been quite a while since i added any
updates. Life has been very busy. On a personal
note I just got married to a wonderful man who has
been there through this whole journey.

Life has been busy with book signings. In August
08 I went to a MS Fund raiser in Minnesota with my
best friend and James (my now husband). That was
my first trip out of state for a book signing and
it was a lot of fun.

This year I've done several local book signings
including talking at local libraries, a stroke
group, as well as several MS fund raisers and MS
meetings.

A New Book

So my decision to do a second MS book hasn't worked
out with the response I'd been hoping. I decided
to instead to combine the two books I was working
on and do a book on invisible illnesses. I
understand this is a wide spectrum of disease, but
i think this will appeal to the most people!

A Second Chicken Soup Book

The response about writing a second book went
over pretty good. So it is now offical I am
writing a second edition of I Dropped My Chicken
Soup.
This book is going to focus on some different
things than the first book did. First off I
don't want stories about diagnosis.
I do want stories about Relationships. Not just
romantic, bur friendships, co-workers, children,
and yes romatic relationships. How they changed
for the better or worse, how people with MS
perceive those around them and how that's
changed. Ways to work through the issues that MS
may bring into those relationships, etc.
I also wants stories on adjustments that have had
to be made (walkers, wheelchairs, a change in
work, that type of stuff) and how those
adjustments were decided on and the emotions that
came because of the adjustments.
I want to get more stories from caregivers. That
section was pretty bare in the last book. I do
not want the person with MS's story wrote by a
caregiver. I want the caregiver's story (a
caregiver includes, friends, spouse, children,
parents, etc). How they've felt, how they've
learned to deal, the rollercoaster of emotions
that being a caregiver can bring.
I would like to do a section on children (middle
school-high school age) who have a loved one with
MS. No matter if it's a parent, sibling, or
someone else close to them. I want to hear how
they've felt about the diagnosis, the adjustments
that have had to be made. How they've worked
through the numerous emotions they deal with.
Because these stories will be coming from people
under the age of 18, please have a parent e-mail
concent for me to use the story.
I would also like updates from people who were in
the last book. It could be just a couple
paragraphs or a whole story. Just let us know
how you're doing now.
Besides stories I would also like tips and
suggestions about these different subjects,
poems, and anything else that people who like to
sent in.

The radio interview went pretty good. But I know

was on a holiday.

So here is the web address if you want to listen
to a recording of the interview.
